About the Gap Analysis and Gap Filling service:
Some organizations want a lot more assurance of their readiness for certification than a brief visit by a consultant and also need help filling a few gaps at the same time. This service is similar to the Readiness Review but is more suited to someone who is not as ready and needs more time and help to get it right, but they don’t need the full-blown Premium Consulting Service.
If the organization is not confident with their documentation and readiness, or their manual was from a template or other consultant and the organization wants a fresh start that delivers real benefits, including saving time and money, they should consider the Premium Consulting Service.

Looking for answers to your queries regarding ISO certifications?
1. How do I know if I need a gap analysis
Before performing a gap analysis, your ISO management system documentation must be well on its way. A gap analysis is suitable in the following situations –
• If you are confident your management system is about 50 to 85 % complete, and you are now stuck with where to go next
• If you’ve finished your ISO management system documentation but are not confident it is correct
• If you’ve finished your ISO management system documentation and are not sure where you’re at with implementation
• You created your documentation using an ISO template or with the consultant that used an ISO template, and you’re not confident it is compliant.
Conversely, if you haven’t started your ISO management system documentation and implementation, then a gap analysis isn’t relevant.
2. Why is a gap analysis necessary?
A gap analysis helps you to see where you are in your ISO compliance journey in terms of management system documentation and implementation. With the support of an effectively conducted gap analysis, an organization can decide on the needed action plans and recovery tactics.
3. Do ISO consultants organize gap analyses?
Typically, yes, a gap analysis requires experience and know-how that most organizations of any size do not normally have internally. ISO consultants are experienced service providers who can support you during the documentation and implementation phase of your ISO journey. Their expertise ensures a smooth and time-bound assessment of your current ISO certification readiness and the remaining work and actions.
4. What if I do not opt for a gap analysis?
You don’t need a gap analysis if you know your ISO management system documentation is compliant with the relevant standard and your own processes. If you have fully implemented your management system or know how to implement your management system, you do not require it. If you go ahead with your ISO certification audit and you are not prepared by plugging all compliance gaps, your organization will not be compliant with the clauses of the chosen ISO standard. In this situation, you will need to address any corrective actions issued by the auditor, and if you are unable to correct the actions in time, the certification registrar will cancel your certification attempt.
