Here is what typically happens: You have to choose someone internally to do the 3 to 5 day audit training, they are off the floor for the training and that’s lost income; and then there’s the travel, accommodation and expenses while they are at training, and sometimes, when they get back, they are still unsure where to start. But aside from that, we wanted to shake up the industry by changing auditing as we know it. We changed our practices and we developed an app. We found that politeness, helpfulness and humility are just as important for our clients in completing the audits process.
The audit process is an ISO requirement, so we wanted to make it easier. So we carefully choose and train our auditors, not just in the ISO process, but with people skills.
We have heard the stories of the unfriendly, unhelpful, pushy, awkward and autocratic auditors and never understood why that needed to be a thing.
