Introduction to our client
The first Port Hedland jetty was established in 1896 and now the Port Hedland Port is thriving. It is now Australia’s largest tonnage individual port in Australia.
The story
The Port Hedland Port Authority decided to award Compliancehelp with the certification project July 2011.
Introductions and interviews were held on-site in August 2011 with senior management.
Documentation of the management system and implementation was completed in December 2011.
By mid December 2011, the Port achieved certification to ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems), and AS/NZS 4801 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems). Zero corrective actions from the auditors.
During the closing meetings with the certification auditors, a delighted management team erupted in spontaneous applause. A job well done.
